As an employee, smart work is probably more important than hard work.
If you can manage your stakeholders well, you don’t need hard work. Perceptions matter. Following one strategy may not always be effective for a certain role.
This works even more for mid to senior roles. People who do smart work lead the pack.
As an entrepreneur, things may be different. I have never seen a successful entrepreneur who does not work hard.
However, I have seen several hard-working entrepreneurs fail. So the most successful entrepreneurs are both hard workers & smart workers.
In my early career, I was a hard worker
In my mid-career, I became a smart worker
As an entrepreneur, I am a hard worker again
I believe that your perception & understanding of your role at an organization drives your choice of strategy
Which is more important according to you?
Hardwork or Smart Work? Why is it so?
